My Happy Place

Oh, to be here. Bathing in the warm sun. Enjoying the beauty of God's creation. But instead, God has us in Memphis, TN where the HIGH temperature on Friday is 19 degrees. I'm trying to embrace the cold and enjoy all the things that feel best only on a freezing cold day - a hot cup of coffee, a steaming bowl of soup, snuggling up in a blanket with a good book. But to be honest, I would trade all those things for a pina colada, some fresh fruit and a bathing suit in a heartbeat!

Some Children See Him

My sweet Dad made this short video in honor of Ruby, our new niece. It's set to the words of a James Taylor song, "Some Children See Him." I hope it blesses and inspires you.

Love you, Dad!

A True Fan

The game last Saturday was almost enough to no longer make me a fan of the Longhorn football program (I said, almost!), but Kenya is a forever-fan. You can tell by the look in her eyes how much she enjoys photo shoots in front of the fire in Mommy's t-shirts... What a sweet girl!

Yes, I'm obsessed!

Can't wait to meet little Ruby!

Erin, if you're reading this, hope you don't mind me posting so many pictures of Ruby... Can't wait to see you guys, too! :)

If you haven't seen this, you need to. My prayer is that in the face of death and tragedy, we might have the same response as Matt Chandler.

New Addition

Look at our precious nephews, Jude and Owen & niece, Ruby! Ruby just came home to Fort Worth, TX from Ethiopia. She's so beautiful and we are aching to see her!

I am Second

How can you not be a Texas football fan?

If you're not, you will be after this... Colt McCoy: I am Second
